Five Months

Happy five months!

There is no well baby visit at five months so I don't have any stats.  I did take Ella to the doctor for shots though.  Last time I forgot her binkie.  This time I had five.  Wouldn't you know she didn't even want it and smiled at the injection nurse when she was done.  It must be her chubby legs. 

Here's the latest:

• She still love, love loves her big sister.  Ruby means well but is a little rough and tough with her. It obviously doesn't bother her.  As soon as Ruby shoves her face into Ella's, she grins ear to ear.
• She mastered grabbing things with both hands and shoving them in her mouth, of course.
• She rolls from back to front and front to back.  She isn't crawling yet but moves all over the place.  I should actually watch sometime to figure out how she gets two feet and a different direction than where we left her.
• She smiles at everyone we meet.  It's awesome.  She smiles so big you can see her cheeks stick out from the back.
• Just like Ruby, she's a cat napper.  Just like Ruby, she sleeps from bedtime to 5 AM.  I'll take it.
• She's done spitting up.  My friend J told me it would happen over night.  It did.  Thank goodness.  I'm so happy.  That was annoying.

We're in a good spot right now.  Ruby is a walking, talking kid and Ella is happy to sit around and check out the world.  I even manage to take them out by myself.

It makes having two kids feel very manageable.  I'm sure we're in for a rude awakening when Ella starts crawling and walking.  Hopefully that's not for a while.
