Random Stuff

I finally got organized enough to have my camera, cord and computer all in the same place so here are a few photos of our crazy, fun toddler.

Ruby discovered Adam's wallet. She took out every credit card one at a time and handed each one to me (smart girl). She recognized Adam on his law school I.D. card but didn't know the guy on the driver's license...Adam was saving money by buzzing his hair the first year of school.

Grandpa Gary came to visit this weekend. Ruby and I picked him up and took him to see Grandma O'Brien and Norah on Thursday. We all walked to lunch and Ruby kept waving at him across the table. They Skype every day so they are total buds. Apparently Ruby called him "Anpa" today while they were talking. That's her third word with more than one syllable...she also says "baby" and "bellybutton." It's amazing how much more she can communicate with us and we can communicate with her over the past few weeks. The other day I was getting ready in our bathroom but she took my brush to the spare room to play. I said, "Will you go get my brush?" She walked down the hallway to the spare room, picked up my brush and brought it back to me.

Other than Sesame Street, Adam and I don't turn the TV on when Ruby is awake....that is until football season started. I watch the Niners game. Adam watches the Raiders game. We both watch Sunday and Monday night football. Ruby has no choice but to like football. Fortunately, my baby hero, Cherie, said her girls were raised watching football and they turned out just fine. Grandma O'Brien brought Ruby a football when she came over this weekend. She played with it the entire day so I think we're all good. Please excuse the diaper shot...it was really hot this weekend and we're trying not to run our A/C all day, every day.

Adam had to work late tonight so Ruby and I had dinner together. She chose to sit in the Stokke and chattered away as she ate turkey and cheese quesidilla strips and bananas with a fork. Halfway through the meal I realized her plate was still in front of her and she didn't even care. I always put her food on a plate but don't actually put it within her reach. I was so excited the plate hadn't been launched across the room, I actually got up to take a picture.

Too bad Ruby showed me who was boss right after I took the photo =)

I am so in love with this girl!

  1. Every day I see her she looks more and more like a Breck shampoo supermodel. She and Norah came sooooo close to going through the cat door (kitchen to garage) today. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
