Easter

We're not big Easter people but couldn't resist spoiling Miss Ruby with an Easter basket and egg hunt. We're leaving for vacation on Friday so I filled a basket with sand toys, a bunch of stuff for the trip and a few special things from Grandma O'Brien. Ruby noticed the basket immediately and carefully checked out her loot while enjoying her morning milk.

After checking out her basket, Ruby went looking for eggs. The first egg had two vanilla wafers inside. She gobbled them up (Easter's all about junk food in the morning) and went off looking for more. Every time she found one, she was excited for more "cookies, cookies, cookies." Too bad there were only crackers, stickers and oranges.

Hunting for eggs must be hard work. Ruby needed to take a break with her stuffed animals part way through the hunt.

Thanks to the GVZs, we continued our celebration with an afternoon play date. Ruby was over egg hunting at that point but went bonkers for Norah's new Cozy Coupe, the mini cupcakes and Janet's willingness to play Pat-a-Cake over and over. Thanks!
