Happy Half Birthday

We took Grandpa O'Brien to the airport on January 13. Having had visitors for 22 days, I told Ruby we would celebrate her half birthday by doing whatever she wanted. She immediately announced, "I want to go to IKEA!" We spent the next 2.5 hours playing at IKEA.

Here's our IKEA routine - Ruby rides in the cart while we check out the display rooms, when she sees the slide she gets out to play, at some point she asks to go around the corner to check out all the kid sized table and chairs. During this trip she lined up all the chairs and said we (the tigers too) were at the movie theater watching Rapunzel and eating popcorn.





After sufficient play time, we grab lunch (her mac 'n cheese, steamed veggies and milk are free) and head over to the cool kids area to watch cartoons. When she's finished, we head downstairs for $1 frozen yogurt which is conveniently located next to the exit.





Great idea Ruby. I love spending a rainy Thursday morning with such a happy girl.
