Last week we had a play date at Aileen’s. I was inside checking on Ella and she was
outside with the other kids. When I got outside,
Aileen told me that Ruby called Caleb an idiot.
She told Ruby it wasn't a nice word. Ruby told her she heard it in
Scooby Doo (her special show with Adam).
On the way home, I asked her if she said something mean to
Caleb. She said, "Don't trap me you idiot!" I asked her what that
meant. She explained that Daphne gets trapped in Scooby Doo and says it. She
went on to tell me that Caleb trapped her on the play structure. She didn't like being trapped so she said
it. We had a long conversation about
nice words and bad words. I explained that
it was a bad word and that she shouldn't say it anymore. I also told her that she couldn’t watch
Scooby Doo if she said those words.
When Adam got home I told him what happened. He went to see
her in the tub and asked if she played trap with Caleb. She said, "Sssh. Daddy, don't say trap. It's bad word."
Haha. I guess never actually said which word was the bad word =)
Such a funny story. 3.5 year olds are awesome!
ReplyDeleteI am surprised she didn't say she heard it from Toy Story. Woody says idiot about 10 times in the first one.
