Our Child at 18 Months

Ruby had her 18 month appointment on Friday. She is 34 inches tall (97%) and weighs 34 pounds 4 ounces (65%). That's slightly higher in height and slightly lower in weight than her last check up. We expected that because her thighs no longer look like she is on a rugby team. It's clear she's tall and strong, though, because she climbed up the rope ladder on the playground outside PAMF (stopping occasionally to tell me she had two boo boos). I wanted to get a picture but couldn't leave my post as her spotter.

It's not showing off her climbing skills but here's Ruby and Norah having some alone time on Friday (thanks for sharing your bedroom Ava).

To say that Ruby loves Norah is an understatement. When you ask her who's sleeping upstairs, she says Nanor (which sounds more like NA-nor). When Adam asks her what she did that day, she says Nanor (even on days she didn't see her). When you ask her who she's calling on the phone, she says Nanor (after that she says dada). On Friday I asked if we were going to see Ava. She said Nanor. I asked her if we were going to see Caleb. She said Nanor. I asked her if we were going to see Caroline and Kevin. She said Nanor. When we finally arrived, Norah came to the door. Ruby walked right by her without saying a word. I guess she likes to play hard to get =)
