My sister has been amazing since the first time I was pregnant and it continued three years later for this one. She tells me she's at Target and buys things I need. She comes to my classroom to say hello and climbs on counters to move boxes. She comes by to play with Ruby and joins us on outings for some extra help. She's even making Ruby a special present for when Goo Goo arrives. Ruby loves Auntie and we do too.
Words hardly do justice to what my mom does for us. It can pretty much be summed up in the fact that she moved to California to babysit Ruby. In addition to that, she does things for us before we even know we need them. She picks up milk when just the thought of going to the grocery store is exhausting. She watches Ruby while I work late to get ready for maternity leave. She takes Ruby on weekends so we can get the house ready for Goo Goo and spend one last weekend without a kid. She takes Ruby to lunch so I can take a nap. You name it and she does it. Honestly, we would not be having a second kid if it weren't for my mom. Thanks Gamma!
Last but not least, I have to give a HUGE shout out to Adam. He's been working tons of hours and still manages to make my life easier. Without ever saying a word, he heads off to the grocery store, cleans the house, takes Ruby on adventures, books a beach house for the weekend, buys me a pint of butter pecan ice cream or picks up In 'n Out burger on the way home from the Sharks game. He's the dad so it's obviously his job just as much as it mine. But, I truly appreciate it and am sure I don't tell him often enough. I can also tell how much it means to Ruby. She's always playing around with him when he's home, bounces out the door whenever he wants to take her somewhere and randomly runs up to give him hugs and kisses.
Thanks love! I'm terrified but excited to go on this next adventure with you!
