Separation Anxiety

Ruby turned 19 months old yesterday and the separation anxiety is in full force. Unfortunately, I'm the one with the separation anxiety. I flew to Ohio on Thursday morning to spend a few days with my dad. When I booked the ticket, I thought it would be like a vacation and was actually looking forward to a few toddler free days. Fast forward one month and I was bawling at the airport as Grandma O'Brien, Ruby and Norah drove away. In the meantime, Ruby's been having a blast without me in CA. She checked out the diggers in the library parking lot with Grandma O'Brien.

She danced with Scott on Friday night.

She fed Sharky breakfast.

She went to her swimming lesson.

She was all smiles watching a hockey game.

And she is currently at the park and out to lunch.

I'm enjoying the time with my dad. As a bonus, I also to got see my girlfriends, visit my family, sleep in, read a book and start a new crochet project. But, is it Tuesday yet?

  1. We all miss you! Come home soon. (As an aside, I am very please to see Norah is not the only one still wearing holiday pj's in February).
