Halloween

A friend told me that I would enjoy things more when I see Ruby enjoying them. They were right. I am not that into Halloween but loved watching Ru-bee have a blast this year.

On Friday, we went to the pumpkin patch with Ruby's BFFs. It was super hot but the bugs didn't mind at all. We tried to throw them all in a wagon for a photo. Unfortunately, Caleb preferred walking and there isn't a single photo of all three girls looking at the camera.

Ruby loved the decorations. She kept running back to visit a spooky monster and was tickled to shake hands with a scarecrow.

Norah and Ruby hadn't seen each other in a day so they had to catch up.

Ruby spent most of the time running away from me. I didn't mind because I got to see the best part of Ruby's costume...her stinger.

On Saturday morning, I had to go to the mall so we put on Ruby's costume and let her run around the mall. After her nap, we went to a Halloween play date with our Day One friends. It was a fantastic party (thanks Suzy, Josh and Caroline) and so much fun to see everyone again. It's crazy that last year we sat around and held our babies and this year 11 toddlers ran around our feet while we ate, drank and caught up.

Ruby was super jealous of Caroline's tricycle. I'm already trolling Craigslist to get her one. Sshh...don't tell Adam =)

Ruby was big on the costume changes. She tried on Suzy's witch hat and couldn't get enough of BVZ's viking horns.

Being the hostess with the mostest, Suzy always takes pictures of families at her parties. I'm glad she does it because our last family photo was at her party as well =)

Just when we thought Halloween was over, Ruby ended up trick or treating. All the neighborhood kids that she plays with showed up at our door. Ruby was so excited to see them and wanted nothing to do with staying inside. Grandma threw on her costume and she walked to all the houses with the kids. The older girls got candy and put it in her pumpkin which she carried the whole time. She went home and played with the candy even though she had no idea what it was. Thanks Grandma! I'm sad we missed the fun but am glad you took her out.
