Ruby and I went to pick up Adam's dry cleaning this morning. It's in Town and Country Village with Day One where I practically lived a year ago. It used to take a million years just to get inside. I would park, unfold the Snap 'n Go, pull out Ruby in the infant seat, attach the diaper bag, grab a blanket and toys and remember my water bottle (if I was lucky). Today I parked, put my keys and $20 in my pocket and grabbed Ruby. We walked to pick up the dry cleaning, took it back to the car, stopped at Day One to say hello, tore apart the toy section (Ruby), put it back together (me), tried to run off with a ball at the toy store (Ruby), put the ball back so we wouldn't get busted stealing (me), played at the toy store (both of us), shared a Jamba Juice and walked back to the car. We didn't get a chance to finish our errands before nap time but we had a great morning.
Since I always like to look back, here's Ruby last Thanksgiving (I picked this one since Tom and Ruby just spent two days together):

Have a great holiday. We're leaving for Nevada City in a bit. I can't wait to see what Ruby thinks of the non baby proofed house with tons of stairs and a dog. Last year she didn't move. Next year we'll be able to talk to her. This year, I have a feeling we're going to be chasing her from the moment she wakes up to the moment she goes to sleep. Wish us luck!
