Pumpkin Patch

Adam went on a last minute surf trip for our friend's birthday so Ruby, Grandma O'Brien and I checked out the pumpkin patch. I convinced Ruby to get in the car by telling her about the pony rides. What do you know? The ponies were double booked today. Ruby didn't even notice. She checked out the bouncy house, petting zoo, pumpkins, face painting and all the decorations (which she loves but says are scary).

Hands down her favorite part of the trip was the wheel barrow. She pushed and pulled it around even without pumpkins in it. She told us she was a worker. Too bad she didn't get paid.

Today was a fantastic day. Ruby went swimming, to the pumpkin patch, to lunch, home for a nap, out to play with the neighbors, to the grocery store for dinner/shopping and back home without any trouble. The only time she cried today was when the power went out with 5 more minutes of Dr. Seuss. I felt her pain. I planned to watch Project Runway while she was swimming. At any rate, days like today make it so much fun to be a mommy.
