Adam started going to a hair place within walking distance to our house. It's great! They are open on Sundays so we walk to the coffee shop next door, stop at the hair place and then hit the park on the way home. Ruby had fun playing with the toys and sitting in the car seat last time. When we mentioned going again Sunday, she said "Ruby haircut!" If you've seen Ruby in the last two weeks, you know her hair is sprouting like crazy so I agreed. She was so excited she cried when we walked past the place to get drinks first!
While Adam got his haircut, Goldilocks checked out the chair options but in the end chose "Daddy's chair" for the big moment. She seemed a little shell shocked at first but was to back to being excited again shortly.
Here's a shot later that day. You probably can't even tell she got a haircut. I can tell and am convinced some of her curls are gone. But, I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to hair. It looks healthier and I can actually run my fingers through it after a long day of playing.
Unrelated to the haircut, Ruby's friends came by while she was napping. I was chatting with their mom for a few minutes when we heard Ruby so they went upstairs with me to get her. When she spotted them, she bounced up faster than I've ever seen, jumped up in the air, lifted her legs and landed on her bottom. Adam taught her that trick in the bouncy house but I've never seen her do it in the bed. She was still beaming when they joined her for an after nap snack. I love our neighbors!
Ah, Ruby. You are such a big kid! She may have lost the curls but her hair has a really nice wave. I love your neighbors too. I wish we had some of those!
