In-N-Out

We think Ruby is a pretty good eater. We eat most meals at home and she eats some version of what we're having. There are always fruits and vegetables in her food or on her plate. She only drinks juice when it's completely necessary (don't ask). She didn't think twice about the boat loads of candy they threw at her during the Forth of July parade. And, she has only tasted chocolate milk once when it was the only thing available. If you ask her what she wants to eat she says mac 'n cheese no matter what time of the day it is. Even then, I make the mac 'n cheese from scratch, don't use butter and often mix in veggies. Today we went to the grocery store together. I asked her what we should buy. She said apples and grapes.

Because she has decent eating habits, we don't stress over an occasional ice cream treat, celebratory cupcake or an In-N-Out picnic lunch when Adam and I are recovering from a night of fun with our friends =)

Her "cheese sammich" was as big as her head and she loved it!

  1. Her father used to make us drive from Westlake Village ALLLLL the way to Camarillo (over 30 miles) where the closest In-N-Out Burger was so he could have his 2-3 double doubles, fries and a coke. Some of us want to live near a whole foods or Starbucks; some of us need to know where the closest In-N-Out is. Time will tell with Ruby, I guess.
